Welcome to Lagos Portal Museum for the United Nations WORLD CAFE-CLIMATE CHANGE FRIDAY. CLIMATE CHANGE And SUSTAINABILITY. It is Friday yayyyy!!! We are all excited is our favorite day of the week. Anyways we spent our Friday at the Global WE discussing climate change as usual and this time it was a very insightful experience as we connected with Jo’burg, South Africa portal. We had a lot of climate change activists and enthusiasts on board. We started off by introducing ourselves and getting to know each other. Welcome to Lagos Portal Museum for the United Nations CLEAN COOKING SOLUTIONS. CLIMATE CHANGE And SUSTAINABILITY. It is a fact that indoor air pollution from cooking with solid fuels including wood, charcoal, coal, animal dung, and crop waste in open fires and traditional stoves is the fourth leading cause of death in the world, after heart and lung disease and respiratory infection.  One would think it would be easy to appreciate the benefits of switching from traditional stoves that use kerosene, firewood or cow dung to clean cooking fuels and stoves. Women and young girls often walk for hours to gather firewood or buy other solid fuels and haul it all back home in time to cook a simple meal. However, accessibility of these fuels, lack of information of the adverse health and other impacts, affordability issues and the reach of low-emission cook stoves and cleaner fuels make the conversion…

Welcome to Lagos Portal Museum for the United Nations TAZIA CRAFT MAKING Arts And Climate It was a beautiful day at the Lagos portal on Saturday 14th February, 2023, where the focus was not just on climate change but on Tazia craft making workshop facilitated by Mumbai portal and session on sustainable fashion facilitated by Jo’burg portal. The air was filled with excitement and anticipation as the audience eagerly awaited the beginning of the session. The event was started off with the amazing display of the Tazia craft. The Mumbai portal made sure they explained the idea behind the craft and how it came to being. We also taught how to craft Tazia using just papers and bamboo sticks basically. This was a connection of majorly university students on both ends and it was interesting to highlight differences and similarities in our environmental resources, and how they can affect climate…

In its 2017 report, International Energy Agency submits that solar has become the world’s thriving source of power. Why is that? First, it is renewable and affordable.
