Volunteers Orientation Session (October)
This orientation session will inform new and aspiring members of the SGEi volunteers community on current opportunities and various ways to get engaged and contribute to solving environmental and community issues. These sessions will serve as a comprehensive introduction to the organization’s mission, ongoing projects, and the diverse roles volunteers can play. Attendees will learn about both short-term and long-term volunteer opportunities, ranging from local clean-up initiatives to ongoing conservation efforts. The orientation will also cover the skills and expertise needed for different projects, allowing potential volunteers to align their interests and abilities with suitable tasks.
Furthermore, these monthly gatherings will foster a sense of community among participants, encouraging networking and collaboration. Experienced volunteers and staff members will be present to share their insights, answer questions, and provide guidance to newcomers. The sessions will also highlight success stories and the impact of previous volunteer efforts, inspiring attendees and demonstrating the tangible difference they can make.
